Meeting 8/6/14 @ 7:00p St Andrews Church

Attendance: 5 Middle School, 1 JV. Absent - Vice President, Secretary

Meeting was brought to order by President Jeff Fretz at 7:05p

League news: New rule being implemented this season concerning 10 minute majors. Rink @ LV opening on 8/18. Due to the lack of ice, Youth and Middle School may play week night games. There will be a free league skate on 8/24, 4 - 5:30p at LV (for kids new to the league or potential players). Varsity draft on 9/7. 7 JV teams, 10 Middle School teams, and 9 Youth teams this season. There will be a LVSHL facebook page started.

Treasurer's report: Club is running around a $9000.00 balance. We will need funds for uniforms, practice ice at LV and reimbursement for level 4 coaches clinic. Reviewed past due balances from last season.

Old business: Dawn Cavanaugh will distribute flyers to schools. She has been in contact with EASD and we must put a disclaimer on them before they are approved for distribution. Looking to have them out by October. We are also discussed and agreed to have the coupon book fundraiser early this season, more to follow.

New business: There may be a lack of ice this season. There was a possibility that the front rink at LV would open, but it fell through when an organization declined moving their practices to LV. Jeff will schedule early practices at LV, and then we will switch to Beth Muni when they open. Justin is overseeing the practice schedule at Beth Muni. Reviewed the coaching roster, a bunch of coaches need to update their certification. Only 1 coaches clinic at Lehigh this year in September. Players need to register asap so Jeff knows how may at each level for the budget. Mites will start in early November at Beth Muni and split ice w/Nazareth again.

Action items: Rosters, practice schedule
