Monthly Meeting Minutes
11 April 2012

LehighValleyScholastic Hockey League Minutes: Frank Storey
- The league will have a balance of $11, 416 after all outstanding monies are collected.
- 501c is completed and has been sent to the IRS.
- The league is considering giving $250.00 back to each team from the 2011/12 season. It was decided to hold off until the May meeting for a final decision.
- Frank will suggest LVSHL financial statements be made available for league meetings.
- Nominations for Executive Committee are done.
- The by-laws will be reviewed following the regular monthly meeting in May.
- Tentative Ice Time fees are as follows:
Steel Ice - $335
Illick’s Mill - $275
LV Rink - $325 (opening 9/10/12)
Treasurer’s Report: Chris Guarino
- Balance as of 4/11/12 of $8,077.19. This includes club dues in the amount of $3,684 for the 2012/13 season and $1,578 net profit from the April 1st Alumni Game.
Old Business:
- Registrations are due by April 15th. Any registrations received after this date will incur an additional $50.00 fee.
- Linda Hamel will serve as the new EIHC Registrar; Dawn Cavanuagh will be responsible for the banquet and awards.
New Business:
- EIHC will participate in Roverfest at Easton Area High School. The date may be changed to Saturday, May 19th. The remainder of the hats will be sold at the club table.
- Jeff and Justin will update the club website.
- The possibility of on-line registrations will be explored. It was noted that there will be some fees involved with this type of service.
- Jeff will collect all registration materials and distribute as necessary. He will compile team contact lists to be distributed to club officers and coaches.
- Jeff will be responsible for ordering 2012/13 uniforms and is looking into less expensive suppliers.
Fundraising:
- The Alumni Game was successful. It was noted that all who participated had a good time and that the Alumni participation has increased.
- Increased Parent/Player involvement could have made the event even more successful.
- The club will consider whether or not to hold the Golf Tournament in the fall. Adding another fundraiser or strengthening the Alumni event will be considered.
The next EIHC meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at St. Andrew’s Church at 7:00pm. Please note that there are no monthly meetings in June or July.
